Kickapoo exists to protect, preserve and re-naturalize the land in the Mud Creek watershed while developing environmentally considerate demonstration projects and fostering information exchange with like-minded organizations both locally and more broadly.

The Kickapoo Mud Creek Nature Conservancy, meeting center and demonstration dwelling are located on approximately 60 acres straddling Mud Creek just northwest of Oregon, Illinois.
