Kent & Kathy Lawrence established the Kickapoo Mud Creek Nature Conservancy ("Foundation”) as an Illinois not-for-profit corporation on July 17, 2001 (FEIN 36-4471558).

The Foundation applied for Federal tax-exempt status as a "Private Operating Foundation" on October 30, 2001 and was granted this status on July 24, 2003.

The directors are Kent & Kathy Lawrence and Hon. Harris Agnew (Retired).
